Our Founder

Tarush, a rising senior in Indonesia, is a finance enthusiast with a vibrant array of interests, from the precision of science to the thrill of Formula 1 and the camaraderie of cricket. Passionate about both academic pursuits and community service, he believes that creating access and opportunities is essential to a better world. Whether analyzing market trends or volunteering locally, Tarush combines intellectual curiosity with a commitment to positive impact, viewing each experience as a chance to learn and contribute. His journey reflects a drive to merge his skills and passions, aiming to inspire change and uplift those around him.

Our Team

Sofia Lemes is a student from Brazil with a strong passion for business and a deep love for reading, particularly in philosophy and Russian literature. Known for her communicative nature, Sofia enjoys exploring new ideas and expressing them through writing. She’s driven by a desire to connect her interests in business and storytelling, aiming to make a meaningful impact and inspire those around her.

Content Lead

Sarah Patez is a Brazilian student with a passion for computer science, especially in data analysis, and she has her sights set on moving to Australia. Though more on the introverted side, Sarah has excellent communication skills and enjoys connecting with others. In her free time, she loves diving into a good book, playing video games, and exploring new music. She’s driven by her curiosity and dedication to learning, aiming to make her mark in the tech world.

Education Lead

Amelia is a non-traditional student with an incredible devotion to challenge the status quo. She is extremely passionate towards mental health and wellbeing, entrepreneurship, combating ageism and sexism, marketing, personal branding, art-house movies, and the fashion industry. Her hobbies include being engrossed with reading unhealthy amounts of Wikipedia articles and idolizing hardworking-iconic women.

The financial literacy program began this year, with a vision to educate and empower individuals with essential financial knowledge. Over the years, significant milestones have been achieved, including working with more than 10 adults to help them grow their financial knowledge. The program has evolved to cater specifically to adults, aiming to bridge the gap in financial education and equip them with the skills needed to make informed financial decisions. With each passing year, the program continues to expand its reach and impact, solidifying its reputation as a trusted resource for those seeking to enhance their financial literacy and secure their financial future.

DFT was founded – Indonesia

DFT started with teaching 10 adults finance in person weekly. In total, Tarush taught about 60+ people so far. Out of which 30 of them are kids and 20 of them are adults. Tarush made 20+articles and 25+ videos in total.

2024

DFT turned Global

DFT evolved into a global organization dedicated to combating financial illiteracy worldwide, driven by the vision of building a brighter future. It now operates with a dynamic team of three leads, each bringing diverse skill sets to the mission. DFT reached over 250+ students worldwide. DFT has now made 40 articles and 40 videos.

2025

More Impact!

Now DFT has touched around 10 different organizations and over 800+ students worldwide from various countries. DFT has crossed over 50+ articles and 50+ videos in multiple languages. Through connecting with various tutors around the world in South America and Africa and tutoring online, teenagers and adults have been able to become financial independent or aid their closed ones.
